Sunbeam

BETTY flyer

This was taken in Francesca’s townhouse in Washington DC, lit by a single sunbeam from a tiny skylight above the staircase. BETTY had just wrapped “Encyclopedia”, HBO’s first educational series for children. The band had recorded and performed 27 songs in 2 weeks, including the closing theme. Everyone was exhausted, having just Amtrak-ed in hours before this shot was taken. All the clothes and accessories are from “Encyclopedia”, one of the great perks of working in television.
