Grandma’s Goodbye Club Collection

Thorne’s grandma and her story are maybe unlikely candidates for club favors. Party indulgence was not her style, although there was always a bottle of cooking sherry in the larder ‘for medicinal purposes.’ But her imagined goodbye to her husband on a typical cold, dark work morning many years ago as he left for his 6am shift, coupled with an oral folk verse as a memorable chorus, has grown into a serious song favorite for very many people.

So we had to expand on a theme. Here’s the big club effort. Grandson hopes that it does Grandma credit and that she might have sung along had she persisted and been around to hear it.

On this CD, you get a huge megamix from Thorne, all 16’28” of it, and three typically fresh mixes from New York Latin house maestro Norty Cotto. To round out, we also include the short and long original versions from The Contessa’s Party CD.

Here’s a big collection of eight free excerpts from the Grandma’s Goodbye club CD collection, including three complete singles-length versions. Grandma’s Goodbye club remix excerpts/complete tracks collection (25Mb): mp3 | m4a
