 The
DJ Corner features audio samples from our projects for your personal
use. We start with highlights from the artists who contributed
to the Thorne:
Sprawl CD.
The
samples were taken from the original high quality 50 kHz Synclavier
mixes printed with effects, prior to mastering. After initial editing
in the Synclavier they were converted to 44.1 kHz (CD sample rate).
Final editing was in ProTools, then converted to mp3s at 128 kbps for
download.
We
also provide links to song title pages and complete audio versions
in RealAudio. For those of you who entered our Mixman
Remix contest, the Natural
Beauty D*Plate is still available for download.

Notes:
There are a few rules that go with these gratis, free and for nothing samples.
So listen up, please.
Since the
recording is owned by the Stereo Society, we are able to give you
these samples for your own use, for playing in a club, and even for
incorporating in a recording. Unlike the major record companies,
we don’t charge anything, since by using them you spread the
word about our CD.
However,
in most cases we don’t own the publishing, since we didn’t
write the song. If you want to remake the original song completely,
Puff-Daddy-style, using these samples, then you have to check in
with the publishers, who are listed on the Sprawl CD booklet. You
pay them the normal publishing fees, but you still get our samples
for nothing (unlike Puffy and the Police).
