John Charles Thomas (trumpet) and Johnny Reinhard at the Stereo Society recording Charles Ives' Universe Symphony.

John Charles Thomas (trumpet), originally from Springfield, Ohio, is principal trumpet with the Ridgefield Symphony (Connecticut), associate principal trumpet of the Queens Symphony (NYC), and a member of both the Modern Brass Quintet and the Grammy Award winning Chestnut Brass Company.  He performs regularly with the New York Philharmonic and Hudson Valley Philharmonic, and has performed in the past with the American Symphony, Solisti New York, Trier Bach Soloists (Germany), Vienna Symphony, L'Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, and the San Francisco Symphony, Dave Brubeck, James Taylor, Natalie Merchant, Nancy Wilson, and The Temptations. Dr. Thomas teaches trumpet at Bard College.
